To anyone lacking knowledge of the Gas Safe Register, you should definitely give this a read!
There are a number of engineers that will be more than happy to come into your home to carry out gas works without being registered as a gas safe engineer. While this might be a local handyman, or your brother, it shouldn’t matter. Having a gas safe registered engineer is the only way to have a 100% guarantee that your gas appliances are safe.

The engineers at David McKail Plumbing & Heating are, of course, all trained and certified as gas safe engineers in Dunblane, so your peace of mind is guaranteed when we take on a job for you.
If you aren’t 100% certain about your engineer, it is easy enough to check. Simply ask to see the engineer’s ID, check the following details on the card:
• The photo;
• The start date and expiry date;
• The licence number;
• The security hologram;

• The engineer is qualified for the job you need done;
• The engineer has up-to-date qualifications.
